Marci and Joe were visiting Savannah as a last minute vacation before their family became a party of three. They thought it was the perfect time and they had a perfect backdrop for a maternity photo session. They wanted a mixture of bellies and our beautiful locale, which we achieved around Forsyth Park and the surrounding neighborhoods. I’m so lucky to have met this wonderful couple and I might have to travel to Florida to meet their newest family member when he or she is born. Thank you so much Joe and Marci!

This little guys family called me after they had a bad experience in a chain studio. Luckily I was able to squeeze him into the schedule and I’m so glad it worked out. I was a little nervous because he was almost three weeks old at the time of the session. At around two weeks of age (sometimes younger), babies start to “wake up” and it becomes much more difficult to get them in the deep sleep needed for all of those baby poses. If you are expecting, please please please find your newborn photographer well before your due date so you’re able to capture those precious few days at the very beginning of your babies life. Thank you for listening (reading) my public service announcement. And now on to this sweet boys photos…

Those lashes amaze me!

I love love love these cheeks! Mr. *C* was just about to turn one and this is another of my favorite ages. 9-12 month olds are still somewhat entertained by the camera (and who’s behind it) and they haven’t quite mastered the art of running away!

After having to reschedule due to weather a few times, I FINALLY got to meet the *U* Family at Wormsloe. The weather was great and we had a fabulous time. Mr. *J* and I quickly became friends and we probably played more than we took pictures. Stay tuned to meet the newest addition!

This wonderful family came from all different directions of the US. Aimee had contacted me about doing this extended family session and also told me that she was a photographer. Let me tell you that being asked to do a photographer’s session is a huge compliment! We ended up having a blast on the beach and I’m so grateful that I got to meet Aimee and her family.

I got THE beach sky picture at this Hilton Head Island SC session. This wonderful family was visiting from the Northeast and I’m so glad we had the chance to meet and document their vacation.

We shot this session at Fort Pulaski, which is one of the families favorite Savannah spots. It was my first time out there and I quickly fell in love with all of the brick. It happened to be freezing that morning so we didn’t get to go to as many different areas of the site, but I will be back for sure!

And he was cold and done for the day!

Here it is, 2012 and I’m still catching up on blog posts from the summer of 2011. I’m changing a bit of my workflow to prevent blog posts going unpublished, so you’ll be seeing a TON of 2011 sessions and you’ll also see my current sessions shortly after they occur.
Here’s Miss *N*, on her first beach vacation.

I had the privilege of meeting an extended family from Memphis and also Mississippi at Tybee Island one beautiful evening and made a mistake that could have ruined the session.
I locked my keys in my car.
My camera was in the locked car.
The other set of keys were an hour away. My source of all information (smartphone) was also locked in the car. I came close to a meltdown. We were getting close to our PERFECT LIGHT, I was beyond embarrassed and worried about the kids getting bored while waiting for a locksmith (who was awesome and was there in 20 minutes!). This is where things got interesting!
These lovely families lived about 10 minutes from where my grandmother lives and my dad grew up! Small world, huh? We talked about Mississippi and Memphis and gave each other some good natured teasing about our opposing SEC teams (Geaux Tigers!) until the car was miraculously opened and my camera was freed from its confines! It ended up being an amazing session with beautiful, kind and fun people!

The kids stayed happy thanks to modern technology and portable DVD players!

The light was amazing when we finally got the dunes!

And everyone had a good time!

Could she be any cuter? Here eyes are GORGEOUS!!!!!

Thank you so much to my wonderful clients!
